If you’re working – or planning to work – in a fintech or a digital team in financial services, this programme is for you. Developed jointly by LIBF and LendIt Fintech, it will help you operate as an effective leader and support your career development.

The fee is £995 ($1,315) with an early bird discount of £200 bringing your total fee to £795 ($1,051) if you register before 10 May 2022.


Who is the Programme for?

Over this six-week online interactive course, you’ll look at:

  • how fintech is impacting business models across banking and finance
  • the benefits and applications of key technologies and how they influence financial product and services design and distribution
  • how risk and regulation is affecting fintech development across the globe
  • different strategies for growth, and
  • the factors that determine success, such as funding, valuation, collaboration and exit.

What’s included in your fee?

  • Two to three hours of live virtual lessons each week plus guided self-study
  • Access to the course website – containing a study guide, reading materials, recordings of live webinars and a range of pre-recorded video content – throughout the programme and for six months afterwards
  • On successful completion, a digital Certified Fintech Practitioner credential that can be shared on your social profiles such as LinkedIn
  • Twelve month’s access to Lendit TV.

Who is the programme for?

CFP is for early to mid-career professionals, with some experience of either banking or financial technology. The programme is ideal if you’re looking to expand your understanding of fintech business models to:

  • make yourself more effective in your current role, or
  • prepare for taking the next step in your career.


Certified Fintech Practitioner is excellent preparation for our Postgraduate Certificate in Fintech. If you register for the Postgraduate Certificate in Fintech after successfully completing Certified Fintech Practitioner, we will refund your CFP fees.

You will study Certified Fintech Practitioner entirely online and learn through a combination of weekly live virtual classes and workshops with self-paced individual study.

Each week your instructor will guide you through a topic:

  • exploring the key points
  • providing case study examples, and
  • giving you the opportunity to ask questions and share your experiences with your classmates.

You’ll then be directed to a range of relevant content from LendIt Fintech – a respected media company dedicated to financial services innovation – where you’ll be able to watch and listen to leading industry players discuss and share their views on the topic in question and related areas.

Finally, each week you will be encouraged to reflect on what you have learnt and consider how it might apply to your own situation or organisation by completing a short learning journal.

At the end of the programme, to gain Certified Fintech Practitioner status, we’ll ask you to submit your journal for review by the course tutor.

    Certified Fintech Practitioner is ideal preparation for the LIBF Postgraduate Certificate in Digital Banking and Fintech. Those holding Certified Fintech Practitioner status who register for the Postgraduate Certificate will receive a full refund of their CFP fees.
